    Happy New Year!

Before I get into this I just want to greet you readers out there a very happy new year. May God bless us with many opportunities and good luck this 2017, and continue to protect us from all evil and danger.

    Hey guys!

This is my first post for the year 2017! I'm very excited to share with you guys the eyebrow pencils that I got over the past months that I've been trying out to see what's best and what's not for me in particular, but also I wanted to inform you guys of the cons and pros that I've found on each one.

I've posted about this eyebrow pencil that I got last year. This is the Ever Bilena Advance Perfect Eyebrow in the shade of dark brown, this only cost me PHP 60 (about $1.22) which is relatively cheap.

    PROS:
    • It's affordable
    • It's very pigmented
    • It has that little brush on its cap
    • The pencil is long
    CONS:
    • If you're not used to it, it can be hard to control since it's very pigmented. You can accidentally do your eyebrow thicker than the other.

For almost a month of using this, I can safely say that I am satisfied with this one; although, I can't say that this is the best pencil for me. There are more pros than cons on this one as you noticed, I honestly couldn't think of the times that this pencil had failed me other than mistakenly making my eyebrow thicker than other but that's just simply my mistake.

I got this one from Daiso for only PHP 88 (about $1.77) just PHP 28 more expensive than the Ever Bilena one above. For those of you who aren't aware Daiso is a store in Japan where they sell stuffs ranging from kitchenware to makeups, basically they have everything you need there, it's kind of like the dollar store.

And apparently they are worldwide now.

So anyway, I've been seeing a lot of Filipina YouTubers do a review on makeups that they had bought from Daiso and decided that I wanted to try out some products for myself. Obviously, I had picked an eyebrow pencil.

    PROS:
    • It's affordable
    • It's two in one (pencil on one end and brush on the other)
    CONS:
    • The pencil breaks easily
    • You really have to dig in there for the color to show on your skin
    • I got the shade brown but for some reason the color looks more of a light brown (should've bought the dark brown one)
    • The cap easily detaches (I lost both of them on the first day but luckily I've found them inside my bag)
I probably chose the wrong color so that's on me. But as you noticed there's a lot of cons on this one than the Ever Bilena eyebrow pencil. I'm not happy with this product, obviously, so I'm definitely not going to recommend you buying one from Daiso. I'm definitely not going to buy any makeup products from there ever again.

This one I really like, it's the Fashion Brow Duo Shaper from Maybelline that I got in October 2016 for only PHP 199 (about $4.12) because it was on sale, nowadays it is available for PHP 250 (about $5.03) on any store where makeup is available. I got mine in the shade brown.

I had written a quick review about this back in October, it was my first post, there you could see pictures of this brow shaper still in one piece (like its pencil) because unfortunately I am not able to take a picture of the pencil anymore.

    PROS:
    • It's a duo shaper, it has a pencil on one side and a powder on the other side.
    • It's portable and doesn't take up too much space in your makeup bag
    • The pencil has a thin tip
    • The powder comes in a sponge applicator
    • It's easy to use
    CONS:
    • The pencil breaks easily
    • For students who are on a budget it's a little bit pricey
I can honestly say I am very satisfied with this product, I mean it's obvious as you can see that there are a lot of pros than cons with this one. But like the product from Daiso that I got, the pencil could easily break as well. So you really have to master it otherwise you could end up with no pencil at all on the first day of trying it.

This pencil is from Maybelline as well. If I remember correctly there were three to four shades available for this one but I got mine in the shade of brown. This only cost me PHP 99 (about $1.99) to which I was excited about.

    PROS:
    • It's affordable
    • It's pigmented
    • It's easy to use
    • Portable as well (doesn't take up too much space)
    CONS:
    • Unfortunately for me the length of it is on the shorter side
Honestly, I couldn't think of any cons for this one except for the fact that I couldn't get enough of this product and wished that it was longer. For a student like me and for someone who loves Maybelline, this is [in my opinion] the perfect product for an eyebrow pencil.

Overall, in terms of affordability and quality I would pick the Maybelline eyebrow pencil.

    Hey guys!

About a week ago I went to the nearest store to go buy some materials that I needed for school when I walked past Watson and saw that they had this table lined up at the front of their store with this sign that says "For Sale". Being the curious person that I am and the love I have for Watson I immediately went to it and saw a bunch of makeup products being sold at a cost of at least PHP 300 (about $6) and below.

I was on budget since I only went to the store just to get materials but I managed to buy two makeup products that I was running out of and another two eyeshadow palettes. Most of the products that I bought are from Ever Bilena and the total money that I spent was only PHP 410 (about $ 8.23).

This is the Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek Tint in the shade of red that I got for only PHP 75 (about $ 1.50). This is actually the first time that I've ever used a lip tint, I've been hearing a lot about them from my favorite Filipina YouTuber Michelle Dy so I decided to buy it when I saw it.

It has a really nice strawberry scent to it when I took a whiff but when I accidentally licked my lips it had an odd taste to it which I don't like. Other than that I think the product is pretty good.

This is also from Ever Bilena Perfect Eye Concealer that I got for PHP 100 (about $2).

Regarding its shade I don't know if they have any other one's because that was the only thing that I saw, but since it's a concealer I believe it comes with other shades as well so we'll see about that.

I took a swatch of the concealer on my wrist and as you can see it doesn't look like my shade but when I blended it, It blended perfectly with my skin and also it had a sort of a creamy texture to it.

The only thing that I am worried about is how they feel "sticky" on my face, maybe it's because I haven't put any foundation on before trying it on or maybe because I haven't set it with a powder. Or maybe it's because it's creamy? I don't know but either way I won't be buying this concealer again, it doesn't suit my skin.

This one is from Careline a Pocket Palette Eyeshadow, Midnight Magic that I got for only PHP 85 (about $1.71).

It's literally a pocket sized palette you guys, it fits perfectly in the palm of my hands. It is made for those of you who travel a lot, it doesn't take up too much space in your makeup bag which is perfect if you don't want to carry a lot of makeup.

As you can see I took a swatch on my arm and was quite surprise to see that it was pigmented. I didn't really expected it to be like that to which I am happy about.

I have no problem with this product I think it's really nice and it's really cute, and plus it is only for PHP 85 which is nice.

This eyeshadow palette on the other hand is from Ever Bilena again that I got for PHP 150 (about $3). They had a lot of variations but I chose this palette with colors that are neutral brown, black, and white to keep it simple.

This palette is not that big nor small, a perfect size to bring with you everywhere you go if you want to touch up your makeup. Follow my blog with Bloglovin

    Hey guys!

Today I went to the store in search for affordable makeup products that is substantially essential with our daily lives, a pocket-friendly price that students such as myself could afford, or products that you could easily buy (without having to worry about spending too much) and easily replace when you run out of it.

So the products that I had bought are the following:

    •Primer
    •Eyebrow Pencil
    •Face Powder
    •Beauty Blender

I was able to find these products at Watsons. Thank God they had it otherwise it would've been difficult for me to find products like these.

Primer (Careline Oil Control Liquid Makeup)

I got this primer from Careline on the shade "Oriental", it is apparently formulated with lightweight textures that glide onto the skin. This luxurious foundation is blended with an active ingredient that absorbs excess oil through the day and contains natural Vitamin E that keeps your skin moist, leaving a smooth illuminating finish that lasts all day– so it says in the box.

I'm so happy with this product because I only got to spend PHP 90 (about USD 1.82) on this. Plus when I tried it on, I believe it was what you call lightweight on the face it didn't feel heavy at all so I will give it a two thumbs up for that. It had great coverage too which is great for a pocket-friendly product.

Eyebrow Pencil (Ever Bilena Advance Perfect Eyebrow)

This product I particularly like because when I tried it, it was really pigmented so you don't have to press too hard to get the color going on. It had many shades so you have a lot of options but I got myself a dark brown. It's really easy to use.

I only got to spend PHP 60 (about USD 1.22) on this can you believe it? Yeah, me neither. Giving this four thumbs up for sure. And by the way, I got this from Ever Bilena.

Face Powder (Careline Oil Control Face Powder)

So I got this product from Careline too and notice how both products says "oil control". Yes, my face tends to get pretty oily as my day goes by especially around the nose so I'm really hoping this product does what it says in the box which are Careline Oil Control Face Powder is specially formulated for teens to keep their skin shine-free and moisturized all day long. This light and natural looking powder has an oil control formula enriched with Vitamin E.

I think I got the wrong shade on this one which is "Honey". It made my face look whiter than it normally is and I had to blend it just so that it would settle on my face. I would've given it a thumbs up if it weren't for my mistake in getting the wrong shade.

I only got this for PHP 100 (about USD 2.03).

    Beauty Blender

I got this for only PHP 150 (about USD 3.04). It was slightly a lot cheaper than the other beauty blenders that I saw which were PHP 199 (about USD 4.03). But this came with a cleansing soap unlike the other blenders.

Overall, I spent less than PHP 500 (about USD 10.03) today which I am pretty happy about. These items are an essential to my everyday student life, although we are allowed to wear makeup at school I still think with these items and a concealer and a lipstick or lipbalm I am good to go.
